Women Achievers in Belize is the theme for Belize National Library Service Women’s Month for March 2010. For years women’s contributions were routinely underestimated or ignored even in the history of our own profession.
San Pedro Public Library is celebrating Women’s Month, by mounting displays about women who have/are contributing/achieved in some way or the other within our society – displaying profile picture along with their biographies and their achievements.
The SPPL feels honor and is proud to present, Flora Graniel Ancona and Melanie Galathy Paz as “Women Achievers in Belize”. All are invited to stop by the Library to view the display.

The sixth annual Boogie in Belize Skydiving event is now over, but here are some excellent pictures taken by skydiver and photographer Whitney Robinson who is a massage therapist from Alta Loma, California. She has a passion for adventure, thus thrilled to be a part of Boogie in Belize since 2006; she is also an avid snowboarder, enjoys the outdoors, biking, river rafting, scuba dives and enjoys the underwater world of the Great Belize Barrier Reef.
